Objective: This comprehensive 18-hour core skills course was designed to equip attorneys who represent parents in Child in Need of Protection or Services (CHIPS) proceedings with the substantive law and practice skills necessary to be persuasive and effective advocates for their clients.
Currently there is high-quality, relevant, and accessible
online core skills training available to attorneys in each district to prepare them to handle child protection cases as well as a
series of ongoing training opportunities and a robust list serve to support them in their efforts.
