Monday, June 02, 2014
The Supreme Court is seeking juvenile practice attorneys, judges, and court administrators to fill several vacancies on the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Juvenile Delinquency Procedure. The Advisory Committee is responsible for reviewing the rules of juvenile delinquency procedure and proposing amendments to those rules. Once appointed, the committee’s initial focus will include a review of the rules for proposed or necessary amendments to accommodate electronic filing and service in the district courts. Applicants must be able to participate in committee deliberations based on the committee’s intended delivery of a report to the Court, with recommended changes or amendments, by December 2014. Term of service is limited to three years, renewable at the discretion of the Court for an additional term.
The application deadline is Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Persons interested in becoming a member of the committee should send a letter of interest and a resume to AnnMarie O’Neill, Clerk of the Appellate Courts, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN, 55155. Persons who submitted an application in 2013 in response to a notice for anticipated openings on the committee need only confirm their continued interest in an appointment by letter to the Clerk of the Appellate Courts.
