Additional Information:

As Assistant Dakota County Attorney, Judge King was lead prosecutor in the trial of David Washington in which Washington, leader of a branch of the Gangster Disciples gang, was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder for the shotgun slaying of a 16-year-old boy in Lilydale in 1992.

Additionally, Judge King co-prosecuted (with now First Judicial District Judge Karen Asphaug) the Hebert trial in which Ricky Hebert, a Lakeville resident, was found not guilty of intentional second-degree murder in the death of his estranged wife Kate.
