Posted: Monday, August 18, 2014

Cate Boyko, Manager of the Minnesota Conservator Account Auditing Program (CAAP) served on the Editorial Workgroup for a new publication published by the National Association for Court Management (NACM). NACM published a “Guide to Plan, Develop and Sustain a Comprehensive Court Guardianship and Conservatorship Program”.   The Guide is part of NACM’s ongoing efforts to reemphasize the need for court programs to meet the increasing needs of adult guardianships and conservatorships. It provides a useful tool for the development, continuation and self-assessment of such programs.

Boyko was recruited to contribute to this Guide based upon her experience implementing the Minnesota program which monitors over $625 million in personal assets under court jurisdiction. The CAAP program was recognized as a model of a centralized auditing program. The Guide also recognized Minnesota for its technological innovations and the implementation of a new on-line conservator accounting program called MyMNConservator (MMC). The program has drawn national attention and interest as an innovative reporting and case monitoring tool. Copies of the Guide may be obtained from the National Center for State Courts.
