Judge James Dehn Receives Award for Reducing Traffic Fatalities

Isanti County District Court Judge James Dehn has received the first Judicial/Court System Star Award presented by the Minnesota Towards Zero Death program. The award honors outstanding efforts in the judicial community to reduce traffic fatalities in Minnesota.
Presenting the award to Judge Dehn at the Minnesota TZD state conference is Sue Groth, Director of the Office of Traffic, Safety and Technology, Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Judge Dehn is recognized for his DWI "last place of drink" multi-year tracking program, the creation of a community/bar partnership, and the creation of the SAFE Cab program in Isanti County. The Isanti SAFE Cab program is considered the model for sober cab programs in other rural counties in Minnesota.
