COVID-19 Information

Minnesota Judicial Branch continues to monitor the most current statements and recommendations regarding COVID-19 in Minnesota. The Branch is coordinating closely with statewide partners, including the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). The Branch will be following MDH recommendations as the situation evolves. Therefore, anyone who plans to or is required to go to a courthouse will be asked to follow all necessary precautions to prevent spread. When measures are implemented, they will be posted at http://mncourts.gov/emergency.
 
Note for parties and court administration customers: While some Jackson County offices and buildings are closed, the Jackson County Courthouse and the Jackson County Court Administrator’s Office are open. 
 
If you have a court case scheduled in Jackson County District Court between now and March 30, 2020, call 507-847-4400 to determine if your case will be heard or scheduled to a future date.  Parties to actions where a hearing has been cancelled may be contacted by court administration regarding their hearing.  If you have not heard from court administration and are unsure about the status of your hearing please call 507-847-4400.  Non-essential visits to court facilities are discouraged.
