COVID-19 Information

The courthouse public service counter and public access terminals (courthouse terminals) are open from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Remote hearings will continue to take place and Self-Help Center services will continue to be conducted by phone and email only.
If you have a court case scheduled in Watonwan County District Court, call (507) 375-1236 Option 4​​ to determine if your case will be heard or scheduled to a future date.  You may also contact the court by email and use the dropdown menu to select the appropriate county.

The courthouse will be open to the public for walk-ins starting June 15th from 9:00 – 3:00.  Both entrances will be unlocked.  The one hour prior to opening and the two hours after are reserved for appointments for vulnerable residents.  During the appointment only times, the second set of front doors and the Sheriff’s entrance will be locked.  Masks continue to be encouraged but aren’t required.  The public and workers are required to wear a mask if they are not separated by a barrier or they can’t effectively social distance.
