The 2018 - 2019 CJI Regional Team Meetings are designed to reestablish and reenergize CJI teams statewide. The meetings are also intended to equip child protection system stakeholders with substantive law and practice skills necessary to ensure federal and state statutes and rules requirements are met.
The meetings will:
- Focus on the federal and state statutory and rules requirements for conducting the various types of CHIPS hearings, making required findings, providing reasonable/active efforts, and ensuring the permanency timelines are met.
- Provide an opportunity for each CJI Team to begin developing an action plan designed to ensure the various requirements are achieved in each county.
