Clerk of Appellate Courts
The Clerk of Appellate Courts accepts filings for Supreme Court and Court of Appeals cases and provides parties with copies of court orders and opinions. The Clerk’s Office notifies parties of any deficiencies in their filings. All case filings should be sent to the Clerk’s Office, never to appellate judges directly.
NOTE: There is no appellate e-filing at this time. Planning is underway for e-filing at a future date, but currently all documents must be filed via traditional means (by U.S. Mail or in person) as described in the applicable court rules.

Register for Appellate E-Notification
The appellate courts are transmitting all notices, orders, and opinions electronically.
Each attorney or litigant may register up to two e-mail addresses. You may register two different e-mail addresses for the same person, or you may choose to have notices and decisions sent to you and your assistant or a colleague. The court will accept only two e-mail addresses per attorney or self-represented party. If you would like to share notices and decisions with others within your office or organization, you may wish to create a “group” e-mail address, to which you (or your technical support staff) can periodically add or subtract members. E.g., appellategroup@lawfirm.com. You are responsible for ensuring that the appellate courts have current contact information for all pending cases.
To register, send an e-mail to pmacs.enotice.registration@courts.state.mn.us with “E-notification registration” in the subject line. In the body of the message, include the following information, in the order shown, on separate lines:
Your name
Attorney registration number (if applicable)
First e-mail address
Second e-mail address
Postal address (including firm name, if applicable)
Telephone number
