10 Rules to Follow When eFiling- A Free CLE Sponsored by the State Court Administrator's Office Legal Counsel Division
Since September 16, 2013, attorneys have been required to file civil cases electronically in nine more county district courts in addition to Hennepin and Ramsey (Cass, Clay, Cook, Dakota, Faribault, Kandiyohi, Lake, Morrison, and Washington). Carla Heyl, Director, Legal Counsel Division, and Michael B. Johnson, Senior Legal Counsel of the Minnesota State Court Administrator’s Office, cover court rules that attorneys need to know about eFiling in Minnesota district courts. Topics covered include common errors by attorneys, the new requirement that all electronically-filed documents must be submitted in a searchable PDF format, eService requirements, and confidentiality requirements, including restrictive identifiers. This CLE is not intended to replace eFile and eServe training (see the options above) that is available for those wishing to register for and use the Judicial Branch eFile and eServe system.
Recorded on September 10, 2013, at the Office of the Revisor of Statutes. Presenters: Carla Heyl, Director, Legal Counsel Division, State Court Administrator’s Office; Michael Johnson, Senior Attorney, Legal Counsel Division, State Court Administrator’s Office. An overview of areas of focus for attorneys that are using eFile & eServe in Minnesota. Learn about: signing up for eService; searchable PDFs; document security classification; case types; and other helpful information.
If you have completed your training, you may proceed to file your case.
