Housing Court
The 4th District Housing Court is a specialty court that handles cases involving landlord and tenant disputes. A landlord can bring an action to remove or "evict" a tenant from a rental property, and tenants can file a court action to enforce their legal rights. Housing Court is governed by MN Statutes Chapter 504B and the Housing Court Rules (MN Gen. Rules of Practice).

Effective 8/13/12, attorneys and government agencies must e-file documents with Housing Court using our eFile and eServe system. Landlords are also welcome to e-file their documents in Housing Court. All eFilers users must be registered and attend a training session on how to use the eFile system. Register and get trained on eFile and eServe.
