Jury Service
The right to a trial by jury is a cornerstone of American democracy, guaranteed by both the State and Federal Constitutions. Over 150,000 Minnesotans are summoned for jury service every year. This site is dedicated to answering questions for prospective jurors, employers and members of the public about juries in Minnesota.
This site provides general statewide information. To get answers to specific questions about jury service in your county, please contact your local county court administration as listed in Local Contact Information.

PLEASE BE AWARE: There is currently a nation-wide identity theft scam where callers try to get personal information under the guise of missed jury duty. Minnesota court staff will never ask prospective jurors for financial information such as credit card or band account information. We will also never ask for social security numbers over the phone.
Do not provide this kind of information to anyone claiming to represent the court system. If you receive this kind of request, hang up and contact your local court administration office directly.
