General Information
The Rice County Courthouse is located just west of downtown Faribault, at the intersection of Highway 60 and Third Street Northwest. Public parking is available in the lot on the west side of the courthouse, as well as on the street.

The Court Administrator's Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The county observes the following holidays: New Year's Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Veteran's Day; Thanksgiving Day and the day after; and Christmas Day.

You must appear in court if:
1. You plead not guilty or guilty with an explanation.
2. You are involved in an accident and the officer checks the endangered box on citation.
Failure to pay, appear, or contact the court on or by the court date given on your ticket may result in driver's license suspension (any state), a warrant being issued and increased fines.
