Divorce Education Program

The law in MN Statute § 518.157 requires parents who have children together and who are getting divorced to attend a divorce education program if they do not agree on custody or parenting time (visitation).

If you are a parent filing for divorce in Hennepin County and you do not agree on custody or parenting time, you must attend both: 

• Co-Parenting Program offered at the Storefront Group or Tubman (fee required), AND
• Legal and Economic Aspects of Divorce offered at the Storefront Group (fee required)

If you want to attend a different co-parent or legal issues/financial program, please contact the judicial officer assigned to your case to find out if they will accept the certificate of attendance from that program.
