Military Experience:

Retired at the rank of Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  Served four years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps and held various billets, including Chief Trial Counsel, Defense Counsel, Review Officer, Base Legal Assistance Officer, Base Contracts Officer and Base Insurance Officer. 

Attended the Military Judge’s Certification Course. 

Active in the Marine Corps Reserve since discharge from active duty in June 1977-

  • Site Judge Advocate
  • Marine Corps–Navy Liaison Officer for six-state area in the upper Midwest
  • Commanding Officer of a 700-man wing Support Squadron called to active duty in support of Operation Desert Storm
  • Received Personal, Unit, and Leadership awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Meritorious Unit Citation, and the General Christian Schilt Award.
