What You Need to Know: Important Amendments to Court Rules
Attorneys from the State Court Administrator's Office, Legal Counsel Division, will be providing a free Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training opportunity throughout December and early January to discuss recent amendments to Minnesota's court rules, most of which will take effect on
January 1, 2021
. The amended rules will:
Expand administrative rejection of documents when filers fail to separate public and non-public information.
Create a universal cover sheet for non-public documents.
Accelerate the administrative striking process if court administration see non-public information in a public court filing.
The speakers offer information to help attorneys understand the new rules and how to comply with them.
Dates and Times
This training will be provided remotely several times throughout December and into early January. Attorneys, legal professionals, and filers are encouraged to register and attend any of the listed trainings regardless of which district or agency is co-sponsoring it.
