Face Coverings

experiencing symptoms of coronavirus. If you are required to visit a court facility but have COVID-19 symptoms or have had COVID-19 exposure in the last 5 days,
contact the court or your attorney as soon as possible.

NEW! Valentine's Day Weddings Return in 2023
The Hennepin County District Court is excited to offer Valentine's Day weddings on Tuesday, February 14. District Court judges have volunteered to perform free marriage ceremonies at the Hennepin County Government Center between 12:00-1:00pm.
Couples who are interested in having a judge officiate a Valentine's Day marriage ceremony should complete this registration form (one form per couple). Interested couples must also obtain a marriage license from a Hennepin County Service Center prior to the marriage ceremony.
NEW! Golden Valley cases move to Downtown Minneapolis
Starting on January 3, 2023, all hearings for criminal cases charged by the city of Golden Valley will be heard Downtown Minneapolis at the
Public Safety Facility. This is for all Misdemeanor and Gross Misdemeanor cases. Hearings for Golden Valley are held in person, except for Payable Arraignment hearings that are held remote via Zoom. Please contact the Court if you have questions about where to go for your court hearing at (612) 348-2040.
District Court initiatives to reduce pretrial detention
Hennepin County District Court, in collaboration with justice partners, has and continues to work to manage the pretrial detention of people appropriately at the Adult Detention Center (Hennepin County jail). A
document outlining these efforts is available.
Criminal Court Warrant Helpline
Hennepin County Criminal Court has a warrant helpline where you can call to get information about your warrant and schedule a court hearing to take care of your case. Your warrant will stay active until you go to court, which means you could still be arrested even though you have scheduled court over the phone. This service gives you an opportunity to schedule a date to take care of it. Visit the
